Surefire Bluegrass Band

The blazing bluegrass quartet Surefire Bluegrass Band, the wildly popular champion of last year's inaugural HayesGrass festival plays a combination of old-time harmony and hard-driving bluegrass.
The band consists of Robby Norris - mandolin (age 15), John Bryan - guitar (age 17) and Tom Isaacs - banjo (age 20)and Tim Norris on bass.

Blue Ridge Descendants

A musical staple of 1960s Appalachia, the bluegrass band Blue Ridge Descendants was formed to celebrate and preserve the music and tradition that made mountain life and the music it begat so unique. Three of its original members - James Coffey, Bob Harman and Glenn Bolick - come together to recapture that old-time sound. In addition, the show will be filmed for and broadcast on the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) at a later date. The program will also include a slide show of post-Civil War era photographs detailing the roots and history of the Blue Ridge and its people.
Tickets are available now by calling the Box Office at 828-295-9627. You may pay by credit card or by cash (in person).
